How do we celebrate Family day:

Family Day is a national movement to inform parents that the parental engagement fostered during frequent family dinners is a successful tool to help keep America’s kids substance free.

The key to a successful special event is to seek out entertainment or decorations that are rare and fun to spark conversation among guests. As you begin envisioning your event, picture the mood you want the environment to make.

The environment you aim for depends a great deal upon the kind of event you’re having. If it’s a product launch where you want to make an aura of enthusiasm and excitement, you’ll likely lean toward an exciting atmosphere. If you’re organizing an event for your employees and their spouses, perhaps you want the mood to be somewhat romantic.

Family day activity:

Monday marks the second year of Ontario’s annual Family Day legal holiday. Brought into being in 2008 by the provincial Liberal government, Family Day was intended to break up that long period between the Christmas and Easter holidays, with an importance placed on families spending quality time together (thus the name). It was controversial from the start, with municipalities and small businesses in particular raising concerns about additional costs. Some parents were left scrambling for babysitting when they discovered that they still had to work, but their regular daycare center was closed for the day. Some people complained that many wouldn’t bother actually spending time with their families, as intended. That was during relatively good economic times.
