It is that time of the year when Persians(Parsee’s) the world over celebrate the beginning of a new year. Shahenshahi is celebrated with great warmth and joy.

The day begins with prayers at the agiary. It is a day Parsee’s try to make the most of by spending time with friends and family. Do note that the Nouroz celebrated on the 21st March is considered the first day of spring and had to with agricultural practices before becoming a religious festival. The day proceeds with people enjoying “mutton paus” and “masala dals”. Please wish your Parsee friends:” Happy new year” or “Happy Navroze” only.
