SME is the term used by Government bodies all over the world to describe businesses run by individual that need limited investment and generate limited revenue and profits. SME’s are usually the backbone of many societies and cities all over the world. SME’s are different from corporate business houses in the way the function.

SME’s also need websites. These websites also need good web design. But web design for such websites should focus on simplicity. Simple web designs will not work for such websites, mind you. These websites still need the bells and whistles but these websites need the bells and whistles that will appeal to all sorts of people regardless of age,socio-political inclinations, and religious beliefs.

SME’s should be able to compete with larger companies and so need websites that load quickly, comply with standards, look clean and are generally clutter free. Such measures ensure that information overload is not a problem. SME websites need creative use of the header tags and strategically important title and meta description content. The title and the meta description should appeal to all sorts of people. The website body content should be strategically written. The search engines will rate the website as per quality of tags and as per content in the body of the website.
